    "Yoga, part of ancient Indian culture", CM Himanta says on International Yoga Day Celebration

    Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma visited Dibrugarh to commemorate International Yoga Day and delivered special messages to people.


    Digital Desk: On the Occasion of International yoga Day, our Honorable CM Himanta Biswa Sarma reaches Chowkidingi Sports Ground in Dibrugarh District. 


    While attending the Yoga event, he quoted, "Lord Krishna told Arjuna in the Gita, "If the mind cannot be fixed, one should seek liberation through yoga practice." Yoga is an essential part of ancient Indian culture. Today, I am honoured to participate in the International Yoga Day."


    CM Sarma also said regarding the people affected by this year's floods- Today, at the start of the day's festivities, we are reminded of those who have sought shelter in various relief camps because of the flood, and we will always be there for them.


    CM Sarma further added to his statement by saying, "the union of body and soul naturally excels in all directions due to the powerful process of addition. Yoga transmits the soul, balances the mind and body, spiritually strengthens everyone, and fosters a positive outlook in all directions."


    A strong message to the people by CM Himanta Biswa Sarma- 


    A strong nation and state cannot prevail without a healthy new generation. It requires the young generation's mental and physical development. Only then can the development process can be ramped up. To create a drug-free society, parents must instil the practice of regular yoga training in their children.

    Reportedly, CM Himanta Biswa Sarma was accompanied at the event by other honourable dignitaries like Union Ayush Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and Karnataka Chief Minister V Bommai, senior ministers Srikesh Mahanta and Sri Bimal Bara, as well as Hon'ble MLAs Sri Prashant Phukan, Srichakradhar Gogai, Sritaranga Gogai, Sriponakan Baruvar, and many other distinguished friends were also present.
