Digital Desk: All-rounder Riyan Parag of Assam has been selected for the East Zone team for the upcoming Duleep Trophy 2023, which will be held from June 28 to July 16. The news was shared by the Assam Cricket Association (ACA).
"Assam all-rounder Riyan Parag has been selected to represent the East Zone team to participate in the Duleep Trophy from June 28 to July 16. East Zone Selection committee has also kept Assam batter Rishav Das in the standby," ACA tweeted.
BCCI's season-opening 2023 Duleep Trophy, the inter-zonal first-class competition, will be held across different locations in Bengaluru from June 28 to July 16. The competition will include six teams from the zones of North, South, East, West, Central, and North-East.

The winners of Central Zone vs. East Zone and North-East Zone vs. North Zone will play West Zone and South Zone, respectively, in the semi-finals beginning July 5. The final will take place from July 12 to 16 at M Chinnaswamy Stadium.
After a three-season gap, the Duleep Trophy returned last year, with the West Zone emerging champion after defeating the South Zone in the final in Coimbatore.
