Lionel Messi's unexpected gesture for BCCI and Jay Shah; Pragyan Ojha shares the photo
Lionel Messi, the captain of Argentina's national football team, signed the number 10 jersey, which was given to BCCI general secretary Jay Shah.

Digital Desk: One of the most talked-about football players in the world, Lionel Messi has a large fan following. He brilliantly led Argentina to a victory against France at the FIFA World Cup 2022. After the football world cup, Messi's fame skyrocketed, and he surprised Jay Shah by doing something kind for him.

The surprise gift that Lionel Messi handed to Jay Shah, the secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), who is also the son of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, surprised the nation's netizens.

Lionel Messi, the captain of Argentina's national football team, signed the number 10 jersey, which was given to BCCI general secretary Jay Shah. Messi inscribed "Para Jay Shah (For Jay Shah)" on the jersey along with his autograph.

Former Indian spinner Pragyan Ojha shared a photo of himself and Shah clutching the donated shirt after learning about Lionel Messi's incredible gift. The Instagram post quickly gained popularity as netizens were astounded by the football legend's surprise generosity.

Taking to Instagram, Pragyan Ojha wrote in the caption, “#GOAT sends his best wishes & signed match jersey for jay bhai! What a humble personality. Hopefully, I will get one for myself…. Soon.”

The BCCI secretary Jay Shah hailed Messi for the historic triumph shortly after Argentina vs. France FIFA World Cup 2022 championship match.  Shah had said, “What an incredible game of football! Both teams played extraordinarily well but congratulations to Argentina for winning their 3rd #FIFAWorldCup! A well-deserved victory".

The 35-year-old football icon Lionel Messi eventually led Argentina to their third FIFA World Cup victory, a fate that has escaped him thus far in his playing career. While Kylian Mbappe of a competing side earned the Golden Boot, which is given to the tournament's top goal scorer, Messi also took home the Golden Ball for the World Cup.
