Rohit Sharma launches his first personal NFT on FanCraze

Rohit's NFT will include an image of a rhino and an image of the Indian cricket captain himself and will be customized with his signature.

Digital Desk: The captain of Team India, Rohit Sharma, has revealed that his first personal non-fungible token (NFT) will be issued later this week on FanCraze, a firm that is establishing a metaverse for cricket.

Rohit's NFT will include an image of a rhino and an image of the Indian cricket captain himself and will be customized with his signature.

Rohit has supported several good causes over the years, and his goal with the NFT is to increase awareness about the protection and well-being of the great one-horned rhino.

Further, the  'Hitman' also highlighted his '#Rohit4Rhinos' campaign ahead of his first digital collectable release.

"Taking a problem so near to my heart into newer mediums to promote awareness is special for me," Rohit said.

"We all need to contribute towards leaving a better world behind, and the NFT's partnership with FanCraze will allow fans the option to purchase unique artwork while also spreading the news about the 'Rohit4Rhinos' campaign," he added.

For the unversed, in 2015, the Mumbai Indians captain started the "Rohit4Rhinos" campaign in collaboration with WWF India and Animal Planet. He has previously used unconventional methods to raise awareness of many social problems.
