Digital Desk: The Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, is scheduled to visit ‘Zubeen Kshetra’ in Sonapur at around 2 PM today. Upon his arrival in Guwahati, he will head directly from the airport to the site of Zubeen Garg’s last rites to pay his heartfelt tribute to the beloved singer of Assam.

Ahead of his visit, elaborate security arrangements have been put in place at Sonapur since morning. Following an inspection by Gaurav Gogoi yesterday afternoon, security agencies have tightened surveillance in and around the area.

To prevent any untoward incidents, police, paramilitary forces, and district administration officials have been deployed in large numbers. Public parking has been prohibited within a 500-meter radius of the site. Additionally, several CCTV cameras have been installed to closely monitor the movement of people gathered at Zubeen Kshetra.
