The terrible event occurred as the school van—registered with the number "AS 01 BB 2102"—was traveling to St. Claret School in Borjhar.

Digital Desk: In a fatal hit-and-run in the Guwahati rural areas of Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport, one person was murdered and eight others, including schoolchildren, were injured. The tragedy happened in Borjhar and shocked the locals.

Early reports stated that a school bus and a speeding car purportedly belonging to the Indian Air Force collided in the tragedy. The driver of the van, Bhaskar Kumar, died in the incident, and eight other people, including teachers and kids, were severely injured.

Suhan (5), Sujan Ali Ahmed (14), Adreja Begum (12), and Shaheen Afreen (6) are among the injured; they were rushed immediately to nearby medical facilities for treatment.

The terrible event happened as the school van—registered under the license plate "AS 01 BB 2102"—was traveling to St. Claret School in Borjhar. The Air Force vehicle registered 21BH5027A, struck the van head-on before evacuating, according to witnesses.

Indian Air Force representatives were on the location shortly after the crash to evaluate the situation, and local law enforcement also attended to the issue.
