A press release from the Manipur home ministry described the attack as an act of terror against unarmed villagers and assured that the state government is committed to bringing those responsible to justice.

Chief Minister N Biren Singh’s administration has initiated immediate measures to control the situation and prevent further violence. Senior police officials have been instructed to remain on high alert and coordinate joint combing operations to ensure the safety of the region. The Manipur Director General of Police, Rajini Singh, emphasized the need for proper coordination between forces to avoid any further incidents.

The government’s prompt response underscores its commitment to restoring peace and normalcy in the state while addressing the security challenges posed by militant activities.
