Digital Desk: The actor Akhil Mishra, who portrayed librarian Dubey in the film 3 Idiots, has passed away. According to ETimes, the incident occurred while his wife, actress Suzanne Bernert, was in Hyderabad for a shoot.

According to the reports, the actor slipped while cooking in his kitchen. A post-mortem has been ordered for his body. When Suzanne got the news, she hurried home. Suzanna was reported as stating by ETimes, "My heart is broken, my second half is gone."

Akhil appeared in numerous films and television series. Apart from 3 Idiots he also appeared in Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi, Bhopal: A Prayer for Rain, Mere Dost Picture Abhi Baki Hai, Radio, Blue Oranges, Don, Kram, Well Done Abba, Gandhi My Father, Is Raat Ki Subah Nahin, Shikhar, Calcutta Mail, Kareeb, Dhat Tere Ki, Kamla Ki Maut, and Hamari Shaadi, among other films.

He appeared in a number of TV shows, including Bhanwar, Yum Hain Hum, Pradhanmantri, The Adventures of Hatim, Do Dil Bandhe Ek Dori Se, Uttaran, Udaan, Mera Dil Dewaana, Pardes Mein Mila Koi Apna, Hatim, Kadam, Sea Hawks, Shrimaan Shrimati, Grihalakshmi Ka Jinn, and Rajani.
 
On February 3rd, 2009, Akhil and German actor Suzanne Bernert tied the knot. On September 30, 2011, they married once more in a religious ceremony. In Kram and Mera Dil Dewaana, he had collaborated with Suzanne. Akhil wrote, acted in, and directed Majnu ki Juliet, a short film that was shot in 2019.
