Digital Desk:  According to Bengaluru police, an investigation into the death of a 27-year-old doctor has revealed a murky revenge plot by his fiancee.

Dr. Vikas Rajan received his MBBS from Ukraine. He moved to Bengaluru with a new job after practising at a hospital in Chennai. In addition to working with a private hospital, Dr. Rajan trained students who wanted to study medicine abroad.

He met Pratibha, an architect, on a social media platform about two years ago. They began a live-in relationship and later planned to marry. The wedding had been agreed upon by both families.

Dr. Rajan was hospitalised a week ago with serious injuries. He entered a coma and died three days later. The police initially registered a case of unnatural death because the young doctor's body bore signs of severe injuries.

Police discovered that the 27-year-fiancee old's and her friends allegedly assaulted Dr Rajan and then admitted him to a hospital after his condition worsened.

Pratibha recently discovered nude pictures of herself on Instagram, according to CK Baba, Deputy Police Commissioner for South East Bengaluru. When she confronted Dr. Vikas, he explained that he had made a fake ID and posted the photos "just for fun." According to police, Pratibha was enraged and decided to teach him a lesson.

She had planned a get-together at a friend's house for the same day, September 10, and invited Dr Rajan. After a few drinks, they got into an argument. According to police, Pratibha and her friends attacked Dr. Rajan with a floor mop, leaving him seriously injured. Prathibha rushed him to the hospital as his condition worsened, but he slipped into a coma and died later.

Prathibha informed Dr Rajan's brother Vijay that he had been injured in a fight and that a police report had been filed. The investigation revealed that she had lied in order to keep her role hidden.

Pratibha and three of her friends, Gautham, Sushil, and Sunil, have been arrested on various charges, including murder. All of the defendants have been placed in judicial custody.
