When physicians discovered up to 187 coins in his gut, they were astounded.

The patient complained of vomiting and abdominal pain, and was subsequently admitted to Hanagal Shree Kumareshwar Hospital and Research Centre.

He was diagnosed with a psychological condition and had ingested the money during a three-month period, according to a hospital doctor.

After being extracted in a two-hour surgery, the haul was photographed at Hangal Sri Kumareshwar Hospital in Bagalkot, Karnataka, scattered around a table. Other images display the coins neatly arranged in a line.

He had been suckling coins for the past two to three months and had a mental illness. He complained of vomiting and stomach pain when he arrived at the hospital, according to Dr. Eshwar Kalaburgi, one of the surgeons.

It took the surgeons two hours to remove all of the coins, which weighed about 1.5 kg.

The person known as Dyamappa Harijan lives in the Raichur district's Lingsugur town.
