Following the event, the Delhi Police tracked down the vehicle and began an inquiry. They tracked down the car's owner and detained five people.

Digital Desk: The Delhi Police on Monday was granted three days' detention of five suspects in connection with the death of a woman who was dragged by a car for a few kilometres in the city. The incident occurred on Sunday.

The woman (23), who was returning home, was dragged by a car for around four kilometres from Sultanpuri to Kanjhawala in Delhi after colliding with the vehicle early Sunday morning.

Following the event, the Delhi Police tracked down the vehicle and began an inquiry. They tracked down the car's owner and detained five people. Deepak Khanna (26), Amit Khanna (25), Krishan (27), Mithun (26) and Manoj Mittal (26) have been named as the arrested suspects (27).

The police had requested that the accused be held in jail for five days. On Monday, the court awarded Delhi Police custody of the five men for three days.

A fresh CCTV video shows the car executing a U-turn in the city's Kanjhawala neighbourhood. The woman's body is seen beneath the car. At 3:34 a.m., the vehicle does a U-turn just ahead of Ladpur village and heads towards Tosi village.

A car dragged the woman (23), who was on her way home, for about four kilometres from Sultanpuri to Kanjhawala in Delhi.

The incident came to light after Kanjhawal police in Rohini district received a call at 3:30 a.m. on Sunday from a caller who stated that a grey Baleno automobile heading towards Qutubgarh was dragging a woman's body. The caller provided police with the car's registration number, which was relayed to the personnel stationed at the checkpoints with clear instructions to stop the vehicle and search it.

Around 4 a.m., Kanjhawala police received another call reporting the woman's naked body on the road. The police arrived at the scene. The forensics team was also summoned to the crime scene to gather samples and evidence. The body was taken to Mangolpuri's SGM Hospital.

The police tracked down the car, conducted an investigation, and arrested the five suspects.
