Digital Desk: Sunny Deol's new project is here, following the enormous success of 'Gadar 2'! While there were rumours that the actor would participate in a sequel to 'Border,' reports indicate that this is not the reality. Instead, he is collaborating with Aamir Khan on his upcoming film with director Rajkumar Santoshi.
The film will focus on the year 1947 when India gained independence and was partitioned into two countries right before the British left. Sunny Deol and Aamir Khan Productions issued a joint statement announcing the news.
The statement includes the announcement of Sunny Deol starring in the film Lahore, 1947, directed by Raj Kumar Santoshi.

For those who are unfamiliar, Rajkumar Santoshi and Sunny Deol have previously co-produced three box office smashes, Ghayal, Damini, and Ghatak.
Sunny Deol was most recently seen in the box office success 'Gadar 2', which surpassed Pathaan to become the highest-grossing Hindi film of 2023. Gadar 2 was finally released in August 2023 and got overwhelming praise from the audience, as well as hurdling at the ticket booths. Anil Sharma directs and produces 'Gadar 2: The Katha Continues,' which also stars Ameesha Patel.
