Guwahati: Assam Motor Shramik Joint-Federation (AAMSJF) has announced a 24-hour chakka bandh on August 31, while condemning the spine chilling attack on five truck drivers at Doyangmukh in Dima Hasao.

The 24-hour chakka bandh will begin from August 31st to September 1st. The chakka bandh will commence from 5 am on Tuesday.

Reportedly, the AAMSJF also urged Assam government to provide Rs 15,00,000 assistance to each of the victim’s family as an ex-gratia grant.

AAMSJF President Krishna Borah slamming the militant outfit Dimasa National Liberation Army (DNLA) for the heinous attack said, “By conducting, such heinous crime, one cannot achieve their aims.”

“Killing innocents can never help the militant outfit assimilate into the society,” it added.

Further, the federation demanded the Assam government to provide security for the drivers.
