Mumbai: Bollywood Actor Akshay Kumar donated Rs 50 lakh under a campaign by Sanskar Bharati to help the artistes who were facing financial crises due to the covid-19 pandemic. Moreover, noted voiceover artiste Harish Bhimani also donated Rs 5 lakh to help the artiste in need.

Sanskar Bharati official said, “Actor Akshay Kumar has come forward and contributed Rs 50 lakh to help the artistes, who were facing financial problem due to covid-19 outbreak. Harish Bhimani, the voice-over artiste has also donated Rs 5 lakh.”

In a video, Akshay Kumar said, "The corona epidemic has created financial problems in front of the artists, and they don't have work from the last 2 years. The artist always stands for the country when needed, and I believe in this crucial time our people will come forward and stand with the artists.”

Earlier, during the first wave of the pandemic, Akshay contributed Rs 25 crores to PM Cares Fund, in addition to it Akshay and his Twinkle Khanna had also donated over 1000 oxygen concentrators to the people.
