Digital Desk: Ishita Shukla, the daughter of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Ravi Kishan, is one of 148 women cadets from the National Cadet Corps (NCC) to march in this year's Republic Day parade.

In a series of tweets, the BJP leader expressed his joy as a parent.

"For the past three years, my brave daughter Ishita Shukla has worked tirelessly to serve our country. "She is a cadet of the Delhi Directorate's 7 Girls Battalion, training in this severe cold and fighting the fog for the Republic Day Parade at Kartavya route," Kishan stated.

Out of the 659 females that attended the NCC camp, 148 were chosen to march in the Republic Day parade. Sonali Sahu of Odisha commanded the NCC girls' contingent.

On January 28, the NCC will also hold its annual parade at Delhi's Cariappa Parade Ground for the first time.
