Internet users have expressed worry after witnessing an edited, obscene photo of Katrina from a scene of her upcoming movie Tiger 3.

Katrina returns to her role as Pakistani spy Zoya in the coming Yash Raj Films flick Tiger 3. The film, which stars Salman Khan in the titular role, sees Katrina in a now-viral fight scene with Hollywood actress Michelle Lee. Its USP is that the scene is that both ladies wearing just towels and it was filmed in a Turkish hammam.

A day after a deepfake video of Rashmika Mandanna went viral online, actress Katrina Kaif has also fallen victim to a morphed image with her stomach exposed and wearing a low-cut shirt went viral on Tuesday. Michelle Lee was also visible in the photo, giving the impression that the image had altered Katrina's attire from the same towel scene. Fans expressed concern about image morphing after the photo went viral online, especially because it was the second high-profile incident of this kind in a matter of days.

“This deepfake is a menace. First Rashmika, now Katrina, this must be stopped,” wrote one fan online. Another tweeted, “Katrina should sue people sharing this image. This is very cheap.”

A video featuring British-Indian social media star Zara Patel went viral earlier this week, however, Rashmika Mandanna's face was morphed via deepfake on Zara Patel's body. Rashmika and Zara both condemned the obscene video. Rajeev Chandrashekhar, India's Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology, acknowledged the video.
