Guwahati: Assam’s daughter Lovlina Borgohain will be returning to her birthplace Barpathar, Golaghat district, on Tuesday.

Although Borgohain returned to Assam on August 12 due to various felicitation programs at Guwahati and as she has to return to Delhi on August 13 to attend Independence Day, she wasn’t able to visit her home.

Reportedly, to welcome the women pugilist, the entire Baromukhia village has been decorated as Borgohain will step into her village after a year.

Borgoahin will inaugurate a clean drinking water scheme in Baromukhia village initiated by MLA of Barpathar, Biswajit  Phukan after she won the bronze medal in the Tokyo Olympics 2020.

Moreover, the district Administration of Golaghat, in collaboration with the Dhansiri Sports Association, will welcome Borgohain at the Barpathar Highschool Field.

India’s pride Lovlina will be returning from Delhi today and will reach Dimapur Airport at 2 pm. At the airport, she will be welcomed by Golaghat Deputy Commissioner and Superintendent of Police and the other Ministers and political leaders from Golaghat.
