Digital Desk: Sumit Kumar, an employee of the Indian Air Force, has been arrested in Assam on charges of espionage for Pakistan.
The arrest was carried out during a joint operation against espionage by Air Force officials and Rajasthan authorities.
Following his detention in Chabua, Sumit was transported to Jaipur for further investigation.
The development follows the January arrest of another suspect, Jhabbar Ram in Jaisalmer.
Interrogation of Jhabbar revealed Sumit Kumar's involvement in espionage activities.
It has been disclosed that Sumit provided substantial classified information to Pakistan.
