Shankar Mishra was charged last November for allegedly urinating on a co-passenger while drunk on a flight from New York to Delhi...

Digital Desk: Shankar Mishra, accused of urinating on a fellow passenger on a New York-Delhi aircraft in November, has been barred from flying for four months, according to news agency PTI, citing an official.

Following the event, Air India imposed a 30-day suspension on Mishra.

Mishra told a Delhi court last week that the complainant urinated on herself due to a medical ailment and then blamed him for the deed. The complainant later published a statement in which she termed the claims unfounded and insulting.

On January 6, 2023, Delhi police apprehended Mishra in Bengaluru. On November 26, 2022, an incident occurred on an Air India flight from New York to Delhi.

Mishra is charged with approaching the woman's seat, unzipping his pants, exposing his genital parts, and urinating on her.

According to the woman, Mishra remained standing in the old person's seat while his body parts were exposed. Another passenger begged him to leave.

The event was brought to light after an angry female passenger wrote to Tata Group Chairman N Chandrasekharan, expressing her disappointment in the cabin crew's insensitivity to the matter.
