Digital Desk: Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, known for his stunts and fitness in the industry, has been appointed as the Brand Ambassador for the state of Uttarakhand.
The megastar also had a meeting with the chief minister of Uttrakhand Pushkar Singh Dhami. Akshay Kumar met the chief minister on Monday morning in the residence of CM Dhami in Dehradun.
After the Monday meeting, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced the news through the social media platform. The chief minister stated, "We had given him (Akshay Kumar) an offer, he has accepted it. He will also act as the brand ambassador of Uttarakhand."
Actor Akshay Kumar also has a previously associated link with Uttarakhand. In 2017, the actor was appointed as the brand ambassador of Uttarakhand for the 'Swachhta Abhiyan'.
Notably, Akshay Kumar has not taken any fee for becoming the brand ambassador for the state. Instead, the actor stated that it would be an honour to be associated with this campaign.

Currently, Akshay Kumar will be the brand ambassador of Hill State. Apart from Akshay Kumar, cricketer Rishabh Pant was likewise established as the brand ambassador of Uttarakhand in December 2021.
After the appointment of Rishabh Pant as the brand ambassador, a video clip of an interaction between Pant and CM Dhami went viral.
Chief Minister Dhami had made a tweet regarding the appointment of Rishabh Pant as the brand ambassador of Uttarakhand. In the tweet, he wrote, "One of the best cricket players of India, the icon of youth and the son of Uttarakhand, Rishabh Pant, has been designated "State Brand Ambassador" by our government."
In a reply, Pant also wrote a thanksgiving note. The post read, "Thank you, Pushkar Dhami sir, for allowing me to be the brand ambassador for encouraging sports and public health among the individuals of Uttarakhand. I will try my best to extend this message and am pleased that you are taking these measures towards a healthy India."
