Mumbai: Bell Bottom starring Akshay Kumar to release in cinemas after a gap of almost 5 months after theatres were shut due to the second wave of Covid-19.

The movie is inspired by real-life hijacking events in India by Khalistanis separatists during the 1980s. The film shooting began on 20 August 2020 and the movie wrapped up on 30 September in London.

The film also stars Vaani Kapoor, Lara Dutta and Huma Qureshi in lead roles and is directed by Ranjit M Tewari.

The movie is all set to release on 19th August in 3D with most of the states allowing 50% occupancy in theatres and theatres of many states still shut.
