According to sources, the current President Tridib Bhagabati and General Secretary Rituraj Saikia of the university's students union, both of whom are members of the AASU, were among those who resigned.
Digital Desk: Cotton University's All Assam Students' Union (AASU) members resigned from the organization on Monday.
According to sources, the current President Tridib Bhagabati and General Secretary Rituraj Saikia of the university's students union, both of whom are members of the AASU, were among those who resigned.
"We didn't receive due respect or importance from the body, therefore we decided to resign as a whole," one of the members stated. We would also like to state that we do not intend to join any other political party at this time."
He further stated that his resignation has no bearing on his position as President and General Secretary of Cotton University's Students Union.
