Digital Desk: Rivaba Jadeja, a contender in the forthcoming Gujarat assembly elections, joined Twitter on Wednesday, as said by cricketer Ravindra Jadeja.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has fielded Rivaba Jadeja to contest the Jamnagar (North) seat.
Mr Jadeja tweeted, "Official account @Rivaba4BJP"
On Monday, the Indian Cricket all-rounder stated that his wife wished to follow Prime Minister Narendra Modi's lead and "work for the people."
"It is her (Rivaba Jadeja's) first time running for MLA, and she will learn a lot. I'm hoping she'll make improvement in this. She has a kind personality and has always desired to serve people, which is why she entered politics. She wishes to follow in the footsteps of Prime Minister Modi and work for the people ", the cricketer stated.
Mr Jadeja has been campaigning for his wife in the run-up to the state elections.
"The Gujarat election has begun, and it has the feel of a T20 match. My wife is making her political debut on a BJP ticket! She will submit her nomination tomorrow. I appeal to the people of Jamnagar and all cricket fans to come out in force to support her "Jadeja stated in a video posted on Sunday.
After sitting MLA Dharmendrasinh Jadeja was refused a party ticket, Rivaba Jadeja became the BJP's face for the Jamnagar (North) constituency.
