Chouhan will be one of the Bravehearts accountable for the country's safety while posted in a place with extreme weather conditions, shattering many female stereotypes.
Anand Mahindra took to social media to congratulate Chouhan on passing the tough training and being chosen for the position. He also mentioned how everyone would be applauding her success.

Captain Shiva Chouhan, a Bengal Sapper from Rajasthan, serves in the Indian Army's Fire and Fury Corps. She holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering and will be in charge of a variety of combat engineering jobs at the Siachen Glacier. Chouhan was admitted into the Siachen Glacier on January 2 after a difficult ascent. The Fire and Fury Corps announced the news on Twitter, along with photos of the valorous officer.
