Mumbai: Bollywood Actress Ananya Panday was called by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) for police interrogation linked with the Mumbai drugs-on-cruise case on Friday. This is the third time the NCB called Ananya after her name cropped up in WhatsApp chats with Aryan Khan.

The actress was first summoned last Thursday and was interrogated for more than two hours. Following it, the NCB seized her laptop and two mobile phones.

Moreover, Ananya’s house in Bandra was also raided by the NCB officials.

Later, she was called on Friday and was questioned for around four hours.

NCB officials stated that they could not find any proof against the actress, so they summoned Ananya Pandey on Monday.

According to the official report, the NCB recovered WhatsApp chats which hints that she is linked with the Aryan khan drugs-on-cruise case.

“In the WhatsApp conversation Aryan Khan was asking Ananya Panday about ganja. Aryan was asking if there could be some ‘jugaad’ to arrange the ganja (weed). To this, she replied I would arrange.” said an NCB official.

Later, when NCB interrogated about her alleged WhatsApp conversation with Aryan khan, the actress replied, “I was just joking to Aryan and nothing more or less than that.”

Notably, excluding the alleged WhatsApp chat, NCB didn’t find any other evidence that proves the actress was involved in the drug case.

Earlier, Ananya Panday claimed that the WhatsApp chat between her and Aryan Khan was only about Cigarettes and the chats were one year old, so she did not remember the details.

Meanwhile, the NCB detained Aryan Khan, who NCB arrested on October 3 in a drugs-in-cruise case is currently lodged at Arthur Road jail, Mumbai. The Bombay High Court has scheduled to hear the bail plea on October 26.
