Digital Desk: Kota, renowned as India's 'coaching hub,' has once again been struck by tragedy with the recent suicide of twenty-year-old Uruz Khan, a National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) aspirant. Khan was found hanging from the ceiling fan in his rented room, marking the seventh student suicide in Kota this year, shedding light on the distressing trend prevalent in the region.

Hailing from Kannauj in Uttar Pradesh, Khan had moved to Kota to prepare for the highly competitive NEET exam. His lifeless body was discovered by the building's guard in the Vigyan Nagar locality on Monday night, prompting swift police intervention.

Despite being a recent resident of Kota, Khan's motive for taking his own life remains shrouded in mystery. The police have contacted Khan's family, who are expected to arrive soon for further proceedings, including an autopsy.

This tragic incident follows closely after the suicide of another student earlier in March. Abhishek Kumar, a JEE aspirant from Bihar, succumbed to poison in his rented room in the same locality. A suicide note, along with a bottle of poisonous substance, was recovered from Kumar's room, according to the police.

These incidents underscore the immense pressure and mental health challenges faced by students in Kota's competitive academic environment, prompting calls for greater support and intervention to prevent such tragedies in the future.
