Guwahati: Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) announced a financial aid of Rs 3 lakhs to Assam daughter Lovlina Borgohain after earning a bronze medal in the Tokyo Olympics on Wednesday.

Announcing this, the newly appointed APCC president Bhupen Kumar Borah asserted, “India’s proud has created history not only for Assam but for the entire nation.”

“Her hard work has paid her back; we will be providing Rs 3 lakh assistance to the women pugilist as a token of love from APCC. After her return to Assam we will give her a warm welcome.”

Moreover, commenting on the grand alliance, Borah stated, “Grand alliance ties decision will be taken by the Policy making committee.”

“UPPL and AGP will be in danger due to BJP’s 64 math.” Borah added.

Further, Borah asserted, “Victory and defeat in five constituencies didn’t decide the future of the government. Therefore, our party will focus on increasing the party’s strength in addition to the bypolls.
