Guwahati: Day after day, the investigation into the appointment scam of village heads continues at Mankachar in South Salmara district of Assam. Atika Sultana is under the eyes of the CM vigilance cell. She stands out as the prime accused of the scam.
A case was previously booked in the CM vigilance on 05/2021 in the name of ADC Saibur Rahman. A 305-page charge sheet has been issued today in the case of a village head employment scam.

As per sources, Atika Sultana has presented medical reports to CM vigilance cell. She has claimed that she is undergoing certain health issues.
Atika Sultana said, during the questioning hours, "I extend full cooperation to CM Vigilance in the investigation process."
A village head claimed that ADC Saibur Rahman and Atika Sultana had asked lacs of rupees for each rural head job. Saibur Rahman was held a few days ago in a case of obtaining more assets than his income.
The investigation under the case will continue.
