Guwahati: The Assam Public Service Commission has released the set of Standard Operating Protocols (SOPs) for applicants appearing in the Assam Civil Service (APSC) Prelims examination to be held on September 12.

The applicants who have taken at least one dose of the Covid-19 vaccine are exempted from carrying a negative RT-PCR or RAT test report. But, the candidates are asked to carry a hard copy of the vaccine certificate.

The applicants who have not taken a single dose of the COVID-19 vaccine must provide a negative RT-PCR or RAT test report at the time of examination and interview.

The announcement declares, "The RT-PCR test should be completed within 72 hours of the start of the examination/interview while RAT should be made within 48 hours of the start of the examination or interview."

According to the SOPs, it is compulsory for the candidates appearing for the examinations and interview to wear masks, face shields and hand gloves.

The candidates can bring a small bottle of hand sanitiser of upto 60 ml to the examination centre.

Around 75 806 aspirants have registered for the Assam Civil Service examination, programmed to be held on September 12.
