The APSC has announced that the CCE Mains examinations will be held in July, a month later than originally scheduled... 

Digital Desk: The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) announced in a major update that the Combined Competitive Examinations (CCE) Mains have been postponed and will now be held in July.

This comes after the tests were previously scheduled to take place in June. The Mains exams will be placed in June, according to a statement dated April 12, the day after the APSC announced the results of its prelims round of tests. The APSC had said in the announcement that the specific dates will be announced later.

And now, the APSC has announced that the CCE Mains examinations will be placed in July, a month later than originally planned in June. According to the most recent announcement, the Mains exam will now be taken on July 8, 9, and 10. The change in dates follows protests from different student organizations, notably the All Assam Students' Union (AASU), against the decision to take the examinations in June.

According to the most recent APSC announcement, dated April 29, the examination will be held in two batches "forenoon" from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and "afternoon" from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on the three days listed above.

The notice

According to the APSC statement, "it is for the information of all concerned candidates that the Combined Competitive (Main Examination, 2022 will be held on the 8th, 9th, and 10th of July, 2023."

In the meantime, the test would be held in seven different regions throughout Assam, namely Silchar, Jorhat, Nagaon, Tezpur, Lakhimpur, Bongaigaon, and Guwahati, depending on candidate availability. The APSC will issue an additional announcement concerning this soon, as per the official notification.

"The list of candidates, along with Roll Nos. and e-Admission Certificates, will be uploaded to the Commission's website www.apsc.nic.in by the 15th and 17th of June, 2023, respectively." No e-Admission Certificates will be mailed separately. "From June 15th to June 25th, 2023, candidates may e-mail their queries regarding the list of candidates/e-Admission Certificate to the m id: cceapsc@gmail.com," the APSC notification added.
