Digital Desk: Guwahati is gearing up to host Eastern India's grandest musical event, with music maestro AR Rahman ready to wow an expected 35,000-plus crowd on February 1 at the ACA Stadium in Barsapara.

AR Rahman's Guwahati concert is slated for February 1, 2023, and it indicates that Guwahati will be alive and well on that date.

AR Rahman's Concert for Peace will be held in Guwahati's ACA Stadium, Barsapara, where the music maestro is expected to enthral an anticipated 35,000-plus audience.

Tickets for the concert for Peace will cost between Rs 2000 and Rs 1.5 lakh and will be available in Diamond, Gold, and Silver categories, as well as Gallery seats. Tickets for the event for Peace may be purchased through Book My Show and Paytm Insider.

AR Rahman's Guwahati performance will begin at 7:00 p.m., with gates opening at 5 p.m.

Notably, this is a sit-down event with first-come, first-served seating. Furthermore, there are no age limitations for the show, and tickets will be necessary for anybody aged 5 and up to attend.

Within the area, there will also be food and beverage stalls. There will be no alcohol available. It should be noted that no refunds are allowed on purchased tickets, even if they are rescheduled.

AR Rahman is one of India's most successful music composers, having won two Academy Awards and two Grammys. He has, however, had his share of ups and downs in his musical career.

Known for giving gripping background scores for blockbuster movies like 'Roja', 'Bombay', 'Taal', 'Lagaan', 'Swades', and Rang De Basanti' to mention a few, Rahman is also a highly-loved singer who has sang the legendary song, 'Vande Mataram'.

While Rahman's musical talents span from Bollywood to the South, the musical genius has made India proud with his melodious compositions and mesmerising voice.
