Digital Desk: A sensational robbery incident has been reported Dhing area, triggering widespread panic and outrage across the locality.As per reports, a group of miscreants allegedly looted Rs3.10 lakh from a local trader by threatening him with sharp weapons and illegal firearms. The incident took place when a businessman Mozzamil Hussain was forcibly confined inside a house and intimidated by the accused.
The victim has accused five people from the same village, Wahidul Islam, Nazirul Islam, Ikramul Islam, Azahar Uddin and Saklin Ahmed, of carrying out the robbery. He further alleged that the crime was orchestrated under the leadership of Wahidul Islam, whom he described as a local mafia figure.
As per the complaint, Mozzamil Hussain had withdrawn Rs3 lakh in cash from the Dhing SBI branch on Monday, 9th February, and was heading home when he received a phone call from mobile number 8011516042. The caller, identified as Wahidul Islam, allegedly lured him to his residence. Upon arrival, the gate was shut and the trader was held captive inside the house.
Soon after, Wahidul Islam and his associates reportedly threatened the victim with sharp weapons and illegal firearms, forcing him to hand over the cash amount of ₹3 lakh. Not stopping there, the accused also allegedly transferred an additional Rs10,000 from the victim’s bank account via online payment to a number linked to the name Muskara Begum (mobile number 60009 27829).
After looting a total of Rs3.10 lakh, the accused allegedly threatened the trader with dire consequences if he disclosed the incident. He was finally released and allowed to return home after around 11 pm.
Following the incident, the victim has lodged a written FIR at the Doomdoomia Police Outpost against all five accused. Based on the complaint, Doomdoomia Police have initiated a preliminary investigation into the matter.
The incident has created a sense of fear and tension in the entire Dhing area, with residents demanding swift police action and strict punishment for those involved.
