Digital Desk: The High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) Examination commenced across the state today, marking a significant milestone for many students.
However, for one student from Gauripur, the day took an unfortunate turn.
Atiful Islam, an examinee at P. C. Institute Higher Secondary School, was unable to participate in the examination due to an administrative oversight.
While 565 students were expected to take the exam at the center, admit cards were issued to only 564 students.
Unfortunately, Atiful was the one left out.
As his friends entered the exam halls to begin their journey, Atiful stood outside the center, unable to join them, watching his classmates take the step he was denied.
Despite submitting his examination form like everyone else, Atiful's admit card was not issued due to the negligence of the school authorities.
After dedicating an entire year to preparing for the exam, Atiful and his parents are now left devastated by this avoidable mistake.
This incident raises a pressing question: will the State Education Department hold the authorities of P.C. Institute Higher Secondary School accountable for jeopardizing a student's future.
