NASA aspires to place people on the moon as early as 2025 and deploy four astronauts there in 2024.

Digital Desk: NASA has called off the Monday launch of the giant Moon rocket. Because one of the four RS-25 engines had a temperature problem, the space agency decided to cancel the test flight.

September 2 and September 5 are alternate launch dates for the Artemis1 mission, an unmanned trip around the Moon.

Additionally, reports claim that fuel leaks forced NASA to cancel the launch.

The earliest possible date for the subsequent launch attempt is Friday.

A mission to launch a capsule into lunar orbit was to be carried out by the Space Launch System rocket's first flight, which was scheduled to launch on Monday morning with three test dummies aboard.

When it occurs, the shakedown flight will mark a significant advancement in America's effort to send astronauts back to the moon for the first time since the Apollo program's termination 50 years ago.
