Meanwhile, a cyclonic circulation exists in the lower troposphere over south Assam and the surrounding area.

A Western Disturbance with cyclonic circulation is present in the low-mid troposphere over Jammu and Kashmir. A westbound low stretches along Longitude 75°E to the north of Latitude 25°N. In the lower troposphere, a cyclonic circulation exists across northeast Rajasthan and Haryana. A new Western Disturbance is expected to hit northwest India on Sunday night. In the lower troposphere, a trough spans from south Odisha to north interior Tamil Nadu.

"Rainfall/thunderstorm, lightning/gusty winds, and isolated hailstorms are extremely possible throughout the Western Himalayan region today, April 1st, with a major decrease tomorrow. A new period of rainfall/thunderstorm and hail storm, including lightning, is quite possible over Northwest India on April 3rd and 4th," the IMD stated.

Rainfall is expected in numerous regions across the nation, including northwest, east, and northeast India, as a result of the aforementioned weather event.
