Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu gives a green signal to execute a 'Toy Train Project' in the scenic town of Twang by the Northeast Frontier Railways.

The proffer was presented before CM Khandu by General Manager of Northeast Frontier Railway Anshul Gupta.

Assuring about the project to CM Khandu Gupta asserted NFR would complete the project within six months.

Mr Gupta said, "This project will be a tourist-centric project which will be set in and around Tawang township. The project will include a park with facilities like food centres, craft bazaars, etc."

"The toy train will have at least three bogies with a capacity of 12 passengers," added Gupta.

Welcoming the project, CM Khandu recommends to Gupta to coordinate with the district administration for logistical support and reliable coordination from the state government.

Reportedly, a joint survey will be conducted by the NFR officers and engineers at Tawang next week.

Moreover, CM Khandu said it would reopen the rail services from Itanagar, which is closed due to covid induced pandemic.
