Digital Desk: In the wee hours of Thursday around 1200 cartons of Arunachali beer were seized in a raid carried out by Bishwanath police station.

Despite strict rules set by the state government upon consumption of alcohol on December 31 and new years eve, at the same time, Bishwanath police have seized a large consignment of Arunachali beer today. The police administration is continuing its interrogation on the driver of the truck carrying the liquor bottles. A truck full of alcohol from Arunachal towards Bishwanath Chariali was seized by chasing a secret lead by Sanjit Kumar Roy, Officer in Charge of Bishwanath Chariali Sadar police station.

Meanwhile, Bishwanath sadar police station has seized the beer-filled truck and informed the District Excise Department in this regard and is investigating if the Arunachali beer filled in the truck is valid or illegal.

The police officer on the other hand said that the beer in the truck was being driven from Arunachal to Guwahati.

Now the question arises can this large amount of Arunachali beer be sold in Guwahati?

The answer to this question will be crystal clear after the investigation.
