Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the Congress, questioned PM Modi last week about the length of his silence about several narcotics seizures from Gujarat.

Digital Desk: Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Executive of the AAP and the mayor of Delhi, poked fun at the BJP-led Gujarat government on Sunday regarding drug smuggling in the state. Kejriwal posted on Twitter, quoting a story about the Punjab police recovering a significant amount of heroin "Who is smuggling drugs into Gujarat on such a vast scale? Who is the proprietor of this company? Consider how frequently you must be leaving without being discovered. Is such a large-scale drug trade even conceivable without the complicity of powerful individuals? You are engulfing the nation's youth in darkness."

In particular, DGP Punjab Gaurav Yadav reported that the Punjab police found 38 kg of heroin hidden in the toolbox of a truck travelling from Gujarat and detained two people. The two people detained were described as Balachaur residents Bittu and Kulwinder Ram, also known as Kinda, a truck driver.

According to a statement from the police, "the drug smuggler known as Rajesh Kumar, along with his henchmen Som Nath Bikko, Kulwinder Kinda, and Bittu, is engaged in the business of supplying large quantities of heroin in different areas of Punjab by bringing the drug from other states through the truck."

Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the Congress, questioned PM Modi last week about the length of his silence about several narcotics seizures from Gujarat. Days prior to his confession, the Mumbai Police Anti Narcotics Cell (ANC) raided a Gujarati mephedrone production facility and confiscated drugs worth Rs. 1,026 crores.

The Congress leader raised a series of questions, including why the port owner had not yet been questioned despite the fact that drugs had been found on numerous occasions.

He questioned, "How come the NCB and other government organizations are still unable to capture 'Narcos' controlling drug gangs in Gujarat?
