Arvind Kejriwal thanked the Delhi citizens for "finding their son, their brother competent of handling MCD" as he took the podium following AAP's victory in the local elections in Delhi.

Digital Desk: The Bharatiya Janata Party's (15-year) rule over the civic body came to an end on Wednesday when the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) won the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) election. Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi and leader of the AAP, sought "the Centre's support and PM Modi's blessings" for the improvement of the city after the party's victory in the MCD elections.'

Arvind Kejriwal thanked the Delhi citizens for "finding their son, their brother competent of handling MCD" as he took the podium following AAP's victory in the local elections in Delhi.
The Delhi chief minister then urged the opposition parties to band together and strive for the expansion and improvement of the nation's capital.

"I appeal to all candidates and parties; politics still exist today. From now on, we must cooperate. I kindly request cooperation between the BJP and Congress and the AAP. You are no longer a BJP council member. You are Delhi's council members," said Arvind Kejriwal.

Arvind Kejriwal stated, "We need the Center's collaboration and we need PM Modi's blessing to make Delhi better."

The head of the AAP emphasised the necessity of "ending negative politics" and added that they must cooperate to "stop regime of corruption."
