Digital Desk: Arvind Kejriwal today announced his Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)s "10 gurantee" ahead of the Delhi Municipal Corporation elections on December 4. "Vote for those who run Delhi, not those who stop its growth," said the Chief Minister.

1. Mr. Kejriwal stated that the first guarantee would be to beautify Delhi. "It's sad to see all the garbage, filth, and drains. There will be no new garbage dumps in Delhi. We will dispose of garbage - it's not rocket science," he explained.

2. The AAP leader promised to clean up Delhi's streets and lanes, as well as renovate all schools and hospitals run by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD).

3. Mr Kejriwal promised a "corruption-free MCD" and promised to make the approval of building plans easier and more transparent.

4. "We will have a scheme for charging a fee to regularise minor violations so that people are not blackmailed," Mr Kejriwal said.

5. He also promised to "once and for all" solve the parking problem and rid the city of stray dogs, cows, and monkeys.

6. Mr Kejriwal also promised to make Delhi a "city of parks," to confirm all temporary civic employees and pay them on time, to end "Inspector Raj" or a strict licencing regime, and to reopen closed shops.

7. "I want to tell traders that they should trust their brother," Mr Kejriwal said. He also stated that AAP would designate proper zones for vendors to avoid harassment.

8. Mr. Kejriwal also made a prediction for the MCD election. "The BJP will win fewer than 20 seats this time," he predicted.

9. The results will be announced on December 7. For the past 15 years, the BJP has ruled the MCD. The BJP won 181 seats in the 250-seat civic body in the 2017 elections, increasing its total from the 2012 election (138).

10. In 2017, the AAP ran in civic elections for the first time and won 49 seats, displacing the Congress (which won 31 seats) as the MCD's second-largest party.
