Digital Desk: On Wednesday, the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen chief Asaduddin Owaisi added the list of individuals from high profile commenting on the Karnataka Hijab Row.  While referring to the hijab row controversy taking a significant impact slightly in different parts of the nation, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi stated that if he can choose to wear a cap and go to the Parliament, why can't Muslim girls wear a hijab and go to the school? He stated, "What do you have to do with what our Muslim women wear? If you don't want to wear anything, please go ahead. SC stated in a judgment that the right to choose is a Fundamental Right. People have the choice to wear what they want. So when Asaduddin Owaisi can go into the Parliament with beard and cap, why can't Muslim girls go to school wearing hijab or niqaab?" On Tuesday, Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai announced that all the high schools and colleges in the state would shut for three days. Moreover, he urged the opposition party and the people concerned not to escalate the situation by making "inflammatory" remarks upon the issue. Karnataka High Court further asked the people of the state to maintain peace and harmony upon the matter unless the order from the court gets announced.
