Digital Desk: Ashish Misra, the son of Union minister Ajay Misra, was released from jail on Tuesday after being granted bail in the Lakhimpur Kheri violence case. After being granted bail by the Allahabad High Court's Lucknow bench, Ashish Misra was released from custody. On Monday, Ashish Misra's lawyers submitted two bail bonds of Rs 3 lakh in response to his bail orders. Last October, Ashish Misra was arrested for the violence that occurred in Lakhimpur Kheri, Uttar Pradesh. On October 3, 2021, eight people and three farmers were killed in Lakhimpur Kheri in violence during a farmers' protest. The violence occurred ahead of Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya's visit to Lakhimpur. Four persons were killed in cars that were part of a BJP convoy that had arrived to greet the UP minister. Farmers' groups claimed that Ashish Misra was in the car that ran over the four farmers; however, Ashish Mishra refuted the allegations.
