The senior actor tied the knot with Rupali Barua. Vidyarthi was previously married to Rajoshi Barua and they are blessed with a son, Arth. After the news of their divorce became public on social media, his first wife, Rajoshi, opened up about their divorce.
In response to how people see her relationship with Ashish, Rajoshi told the Hindustan Times, "I am going crazy with the interpretation people are having about us. That is unfair. Ashish never cheated on me. Even if many believe that all he wanted was to be married again. This is an entirely fake narrative."
She revealed that they filed for divorce in October 2022 and that the choice was mutual. "Last October, we filed a petition together. No one has pushed anyone. This was absolutely mutual. I spent a significant portion of my life as Shakuntala Barua's daughter and Ashish Vidyarthi's wife. Now is the right time for me to follow my path by myself. Just to be clear, it's not like he ever crushed my identity; I want to have my own identity. "I just realised he sees a different future than I do," she added.

Though they parted ways, Rajoshi and Ashish decided to remain friends. "People today simply decide to part ways without taking any action, but we didn't want to do that. So, we made the decision to continue being friends. I promise to be there for you at all times with prayers and good thoughts. I'm sure he has nothing but good thoughts for me," Barua said.
