Digital Desk: A passenger bus and a truck collided head-on on Wednesday in Nambor, Assam's Golaghat district, causing at least 15 people to suffer serious injuries.

The accident happened this afternoon when a fast truck slammed directly with a passenger bus. According to accounts, there may have been up to 15 injured people.

Fortunately, no casualties were reported at the filing of this report.

Following the incident, all those injured were sent to a local hospital for treatment.

It is to be noted that Yesterday morning, a traffic accident in the Balipara Tehsil of the Sonipur district of Assam left Majuli MLA Bhuban Gam with minor injuries.

The legislator's car reportedly collided with a "Bolero" car, causing it to veer off a ridge and into a marsh, according to the information. Significantly, the legislator's 'Innova' vehicle had an airbag system fitted in it, as the accident may have been fatal without it.
