Digital Desk: The active campaigning for the first round of the Assam Lok Sabha elections, which are scheduled on April 19, came to an end on Wednesday. Thirty-five candidates, including two Rajya Sabha MPs, three Lok Sabha MPs, and an MLA, are at stake in this crucial phase.


Five constituencies are the focus of attention: Dibrugarh, Jorhat, Kaziranga, Sonitpur, and Lakhimpur.


Remarkably, in terms of voters, Kaziranga becomes the largest Lok Sabha constituency in the first phase.
