Diphu: Karbi Anglong Police arrested three poachers near the Kaziranga National park in Assam on Sunday.

According to official report, the police recovered huge cache of Arms and Ammunition along with two AK series Rifles from the arrested poachers namely- Welson Teron (34) of Karbi Anglong, Dereshang Rengma (36) of Karbi Anglong and Alo Rengma (29) of Dimapur, Nagaland.

The poachers were arrested while they were on their way to the Kaziranga National Park by the Karbi Anglong Police.

The Assam Police took to Twitter said, “As we stand united & fight #CoronaVirus, our fight against illegal arms & poachers continues! Kudos to #karbianglongpol for arresting 3 poachers, while they were on their way to @kaziranga_ National Park with 2 AK series rifles, which have also been recovered.”
