Digital Desk: For the very first time, the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) has embraced complete digitization of student attendance for the Higher Secondary (HS) examination 2024.

Commencing on February 12 and concluding on March 13, this marks the first time that attendance for the HS examinations will be registered through online mode. 

A total of 2,80,216 candidates, comprising 1,39,486 male and 1,42,732 female students are appearing for the HS examinations today.

Additionally, 2,06,467 are from the Arts stream, 54,287 are from the Science stream and 17,582 are from the Commerce stream.

Notably, AHSEC had earlier decided to conduct a Pre-Final Test Examination for HS second-year students in December 2023, highlighting their commitment to enhancing the examination process.
