The AIUDF General Secretary added that it was wrong for Himanta Biswa Sarma to shut down madrasas, introduce a bill protecting cows, and carry out an eviction drive.

Digital Desk: All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) MLA Aminul Islam on Sunday said that many leaders of the country are trying to prove themselves as 'Hindutva leader'.

The AIUDF Legislator slammed Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and other leaders of the country, and stated that they are now trying to prove themselves as 'Hindutva leader'.

"There is an atmosphere in the country where many leaders, including the Assam chief minister, are trying to prove who is a more ardent 'Hindutva' leader on the national stage," Aminul Islam said in a statement to ANI.

He said, "A few days ago, at the Assam Assembly, Himanta Biswa Sarma claimed that the Muslims in Assam are happier, and two days later, he travelled to Karnataka to show his qualities as a strong Hindutva leader.

The AIUDF General Secretary added that it was wrong for Himanta Biswa Sarma to shut down madrasas, introduce a bill protecting cows, and carry out an eviction drive.

"The Assam CM is trying to suppress Muslims and demonstrating that he is a hard-core Hindutva leader," Aminul Islam stated. In Assam, the Madrasas and Sanskrit Tolls have both been closed by the BJP government of Himanta Biswa Sarma. He wants to become a prominent national figure.

The Assam Government was criticised by the AIUDF last month for not focusing on problems that could prevent child marriage during the crackdown on incidents of child marriage in Assam.

Asaduddin Owaisi, the leader of AIMIM, also criticised the Himanta Biswa Sarma-led administration for the situation. He claimed that the state's BJP government was "prejudiced against Muslims". The comments were made as state authorities detained more than 2,258 persons on suspicion of involvement in child marriage.
