Digital Desk: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma held a discussion with the senior executives of the Tata companies on Thursday. As per sources, the meeting was conducted between Tata's senior executives and CM Sarma to discuss the matter of the state's IITs and polytechnic establishment. Expressing his gratitude towards Tata Group, Assam CM Sarma shared pictures of the meeting with the motive on his Twitter handle. The tweet read, "Held a meeting with Sr Executives of @TataCompanies on up-gradation of State's ITIs & polytechnics to Centre of Excellence." The tweet added, "Thanked TATA group for coming forward to transform Assam's technical institutes to tech hubs with project-Transforming Engineering Academia to Industry 4.0." Assam has maintained a healthy relationship with one of India's most prominent business groups- TATA.  Lately, Ratan Tata has received the state's highest civilian honor, the 'Asom Baibhav Award,' from the Assam government for his endless contribution towards the nation's welfare.
