Guwahati: Assam reported 160 fresh covid cases on Sunday, taking the active caseload to 2,607. The positivity rate now stands at 0.64 percent.
Out of 24,900 covid-19 tests conducted in the last 24 hours, 160 cases have been found positive for covid-19.
Reportedly, as many as five people have succumbed to covid-19 on Sunday, while 240 people recovered and were discharged.

The district with the highest number of covid cases has been reported from Kamrup (Metro)-60, Jorhat-21, Lakhimpur-12, Nagaon-10.
The total number of recoveries of the state has reached 5,95,091 with a recovery rate of 98.37 percent.
Moreover, covid –related fatalities in the state have reached 5,926 with a death rate of 0.98 percent.
